More Than a Fragrance

What captivates me most about scent is that there is real science behind what we experience.

Our sense of smell has particularly direct connections with areas of the brain involved in emotion and memory, including structures within the limbic system. That's one reason an aroma can unexpectedly bring back a person, a place or a moment from years ago with remarkable emotional intensity.

Sometimes you don't even consciously remember the scent—but your brain does.

A familiar perfume can remind you of someone you love. The smell of wood or smoke can transport you back to a particular place. Citrus can feel bright and energetic. Certain soft, familiar aromas can contribute to feelings of comfort and relaxation. And sometimes a fragrance becomes permanently connected to a season of your life.

That's what makes perfumery so fascinating to me.

A fragrance isn't experienced only by the nose. It can become attached to the story, the people, and places in our lives.

Scent & Creativity

As a musician and creator, I'm especially drawn to that relationship between scent, emotion and creativity.

Music does something very similar.

A few notes of a song can suddenly take you back twenty years. A fragrance can do the same thing without making a sound.

That's why scent has become part of my creative environment. I might want something dark, smoky and woody while I'm working on one piece of music, or something aquatic and airy for another. Sometimes it's incense. Sometimes it's a candle. Sometimes it's a fragrance I'm wearing. No matter which fragrance, every moment deserves an elite olfactory experience!

It helps create a world around whatever I'm experiencing or creating.

And that is ultimately what I want LEE Fragrances to be about.

WHAT WE CREATE

LEE Fragrances is an independent fragrance brand creating designer-inspired perfumes and colognes, personalized custom fragrance blends, and premium scented candles.

Alongside my interpretations of fragrances I admire, I create original and custom scents built around individual notes, preferences, moods, and ideas. That same approach to scent extends to our premium candles and home fragrance creations.

Whether it's a fragrance inspired by an iconic scent, a completely personalized blend, or a candle designed to transform the atmosphere of a room, the goal is the same: to create a memorable olfactory experience that connects scent with people, places, moments, and memories.

Every Scent Tells a Story

LEE Fragrances grew from my fascination with the materials themselves—oud wood, sandalwood, musks, ambers, florals, citrus oils, resins, spices and modern aroma molecules that can be combined in seemingly endless ways.

I love studying fragrances that I already admire and creating my own interpretations of iconic scents. I also love experimenting beyond those inspirations—changing an accord, emphasizing a particular material, or creating something completely new.

The same philosophy carries into our premium scented candles, custom fragrance blends, and other scented creations.

I'm not interested in scent merely as another product on a shelf. I want to create fragrances that become connected to people, places, evenings, celebrations, music, relationships and memories.

Because years from now, you may forget exactly what you were wearing or what was sitting on the table.

But then you'll smell it again.

And suddenly, you're there!
